CHENNAI: Leaders including,
AIADMK general secretary Edappadi K Palaniswami, PMK founder S Ramdoss, AMMK general secretary T T V Dhinakaran and former chief minister
O Panneerselvam have criticised the state govt for failing to maintain law and order, with six murders taking place in a single day across the state.
In his statement, Palaniswami said six murders in a single day were shocking.
Making murders regular was an achievement of
DMK govt. He questioned whether chief minister M K Stalin, who signed files from abroad, inquired about the decline of law and order, which was under his control. He urged the CM to act to ensure law and order.
Govt should keep in mind that
Tamil Nadu would degenerate if law and order is not maintained and implement total prohibition in the state. Anti-social elements should be controlled with an iron hand, Panneerselvam said.
PMK founder S Ramdoss said six murders across the TN in a single day showed DMK govt had failed to maintain law and order. A total of 5,000 murder had taken place in the last three years, he alleged.
“Does chief minister Stalin know about these brutal murders, which are occurring due to drugs and alcohol?” Ramadoss asked.
TTV said TN, which had been a garden of peace, had turned into one of murders and crime. It is proof of DMK’s administrative failure and concrete action should be taken to maintain law and order, he said.
